Founded by 2 industry experts with decades of hands-on experience, we offer accredited beauty training courses that combine cutting-edge techniques with real-world business insights. From body massage to advanced massage techniques and tailor made reflexology treatments, our training is designed to be practical, creative and results driven.
We have created courses that deliver not only the essential theoretical knowledge you need, but also practical, real-world skills taught by therapists who are actively working in the industry—just like you. Meet The Team
Helen
Co-Founder & Educator
I’m Helen, and I bring over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. My greatest passion is passing on the skills and knowledge I’ve gained over the years and helping other passionate therapists excel in this incredible industry.
I began my career in beauty straight from school at the age of 16, working in a variety of salons and gaining hands-on experience across many treatments. My true passion for skincare soon led me to work in a specialised skin clinic, delivering results-driven treatments that made a real difference not only to my clients’ skin, but to their confidence and wellbeing.
Wanting to make a bigger impact, I trained to become a teacher. My goal in stepping into education was simple: to make a difference. I was driven to raise standards within the beauty industry by training aspiring therapists to deliver only the highest quality treatments with confidence and professionalism.
I worked within further education colleges and later in a private beauty college, delivering a wide range of courses. I then progressed into the role of Head of Quality - a position I absolutely loved. This allowed me to embed strong standards and consistency across training, ensuring every student received the very best education to support a successful career.
I later stepped away from teaching to focus on my family and am now a proud mum to two beautiful (and slightly sassy!) young girls who I absolutely adore. After maternity leave, I returned to work to set up and manage a highly successful day spa. I loved every aspect of this role — from creating treatment menus and bringing a vision to life, to training and managing a team of therapists and spa hosts, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations.
Despite loving spa management, I realised I missed my roots. I missed education. I missed making a difference. While I never aspired to own my own salon, I have always dreamed of running my own training academy. That dream has now become a reality. Alongside my business partner and one of my very best friends, I am proud to introduce Accredited Beauty Academy.

Sharon
Co-Founder & Educator
My name is Sharon, I bring over 27 years of experience in the beauty, massage, and holistic therapy industry. My commitment to lifelong learning led me to complete my teaching qualification and assessor awards, enabling me to teach in colleges and further‑education environments. I discovered a deep passion for supporting learners who needed reassurance, adaptive teaching methods, and a more personalised approach—an experience that shaped my philosophy as an educator and strengthened my desire to pass on my knowledge to others.
After several years in education, I founded my own training academy, Lotus Flower Akademia, offering professional training across the full spectrum of beauty and holistic therapies. The academy was designed to meet the diverse needs of therapists and individuals seeking a new career path, providing high‑quality, accessible education.
As the industry evolved, I became increasingly interested in innovative therapies such as Lava Shells. I approached Shared Beauty Secrets with the ambition of becoming a trainer, a goal I proudly achieved. I travelled across the UK and Ireland delivering accredited training to therapists, spas, salons, and college students. My expertise and dedication led to progression into the role of College Co‑ordinator, working closely with governing bodies, and later to National Training Manager, where I played a key role in developing and advancing the organisation’s training model.
After stepping away from the industry for a short period, I joined Holland & Barrett, where my knowledge of the body and holistic philosophy supported customers in achieving their wellbeing goals through supplements and expert guidance. Although this role was rewarding, I missed the hands‑on, learner‑focused environment of the therapy and education sector. Returning to the industry reaffirmed my passion for empowering individuals who share a thirst for learning and personal growth.
What once felt like a dream has finally come to life. Together with my business partner—who also happens to be one of my closest friends—I’m delighted to present Accredited Beauty Academy.
