Is my course a qualification?

Your course is accredited by ABT and has passed all necessary quality assurance checks. Upon successful completion, ABT will insure your qualification, allowing you to offer your chosen treatment to clients.

If you choose to use an alternative insurance provider, it is your responsibility to ensure that you will be covered once the course has been completed.

How will I study?

You are required to fully read the theory workbook that will be sent to you prior to the course. You must also complete the accompanying list of questions and bring these with you on the day of your training.

An intensive, hands-on practical training day will equip you with all the techniques required to be competent in your chosen course.

What are the class sizes?

We run classes from 1 person to a maximum class size of 6 to ensure all attendees receive the individual attention that they deserve.  Often the course will be 1 to 1 allowing you plenty of time to perfect your new treatment skill.

What will I need?

Students must wear professional salon wear or a black shirt and black trousers with a flat, closed toe shoe.  Please also ensure you have a pen and paper for the training day.

What will I receive?

Depending on the course, you will receive an intensive day of hands-on training. All products required for the day will be provided.

If the training takes place in your own salon, you will be required to supply towels and a treatment bed.

Training manuals will be sent to you prior to the course, and it is mandatory that these are read in full before attending. You will also receive a list of questions, which must be completed and brought with you on the day of training.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive your qualification certificate, accredited by ABT. It is essential that you check with your current insurance provider to ensure you will be covered.

What is the examination process?

Assessment methods will be carried out throughout the course, with a final written and/or verbal assessment taking place upon completion.

For some courses, you may also be required to attend a practical assessment session after completing your case studies. Where applicable, this will be discussed with you at the time of booking for your chosen course.

Advanced massage techniques

When is the course?

The course is booked at a time and date to suit you.  You will receive a confirmation email outlining the date and time on completion of booking and upon receipt of your deposit.

Where will the course be?

The course will be delivered in your salon. We understand that your time is precious, which is why we bring the training directly to you-saving you both travel time and costs. This also ensures you feel comfortable throughout the training and helps to minimise disruption to your existing treatment bookings.

Is there any age limit for the courses?

There is no barrier to learning a new skill at any age.  All we ask is that you are over the age of 18 to attend any of our courses.

What are case studies and how do I complete them?

Case studies are required for courses where additional practice is necessary. This involves treating the same client over multiple sessions and clearly recording any physical, psychological, or emotional changes and improvements observed. This process allows you to progress and further develop your techniques.

You will be provided with a separate case study consultation form, which must be completed in full with your client. After each treatment, you will evaluate the treatment carried out and note any reactions experienced by the client.

Completed case studies must be submitted for marking prior to your assessment day, after which feedback will be provided.

What if I have a question after my course has finished?

This is what sets us apart. Should you have any questions after completing your course, we’re always here to help. Simply send us an email and we’ll get back to you promptly with guidance, support and advice.

How do I pay for my course?

Payment is made via bank transfer to the business bank account. Full payment details will be provided at the time of booking.

Please note that your course booking is not confirmed until the deposit payment has been received.
